“Full-spectrum” is a term that we use to refer to cannabis extraction methods that result in terpene, flavonoid, and cannabinoid profiles closer to the source plant than other methods. Full-spectrum extract gives you all the good flavor and effects of the strain without all the unwanted plant material.
Because the extract contains a more complete set of the compounds found in cannabis, those who consume may experience a wider spectrum of psychotropic and physiological effects; a phenomenon called the “entourage effect”.
The entourage effect is, basically, the cooperation between bioactive cannabis compounds when consumed together. A great analogy is the “whole being greater than the sum of its parts” where “the whole” is the full spectrum profile of the particular strain. Interactions occur between the different cannabinoids and also between terpenes and cannabinoids. For example, two cannabinoids may have one set of effects when consumed together, but a completely different set of effects on their own, and another set of effects when consumed with a specific terpene.
We think using full-spectrum rosin in our gummies makes for a “truer” cannabis experience, which is why we use it in our gummies. Know what you eat; eat what you smoke!
